Who gets a view of the Space Needle?

The Seattle City Council is pondering plans that could allow taller Seattle buildings that could obliterate some views of the privately owned Space Needle.

The Seattle Times reports the owners of the Space Needle would like to maintain its views from publicly owned places in Seattle such as Lake Union Park and some Interstate-5 off-ramps but council members must weigh the views with private land-owners development rights.
