Seattle mulls tougher rules for houseboat – from todays PSBJ

It would be tougher to live on a houseboat-like boat in Seattle if the city’s proposed new rules regarding floating homes move forward.

The Seattle P-I.com reports city officials say some floating homes are bad for salmon and other aquatic life on Seattle bodies of water, mainly Lake Union. The city wants to crack down on boats that act as floating homes, and enact new environmental rules on existing houseboat-like boats. READ FULL STORY HERE
